Bahá'ís of the Heartland States
Bahá'ís, and those who join with them, across these three states are working together alongside their neighbors and networks in a humble posture of learning to transform our inner and outer reality -- to build just, peaceful, and unified neighborhoods and communities. We are part of a global community seeking peace and social transformation.

Heartland Region Overview

Continually my ear and eye are turned toward the Central States; perchance a melody from some blessed souls may reach my ears—souls who are the dawning-places of the love of God, the stars of the horizon of sanctification and holiness—souls who will illumine this dark universe and quicken to life this dead world. The joy of ‘Abdu’l‑Bahá depends upon this! I hope that you may become confirmed therein. — 'Abdu'l-Baha
In the Baháʼí Faith, milestones of growth refer to specific stages in the development of a Baháʼí community, particularly a "cluster" (a geographical region or group of communities), as they expand and deepen their impact. These milestones are not about reaching specific numbers or results, but rather about developing the capacity to effectively implement the Baháʼí teachings and activities.
"This map shows the entirety of the Heartland Region and all of its clusters in each of the four sub-regions of Northern Illinois, Southern/Central Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. The coding beside each one (M1, M2, M3) indicates the growing strength of the community-building process in each cluster and the extent to which the activities of the Bahá’í community are accessible to every individual in this area"
